Safety Precautions Taken by Sunbelt Technology in Response to COVID-19

To Our Valued Sunbelt Family,

We want to assure you that at Sunbelt Technology, there is nothing more important to us than the health, safety and emotional well-being of our customers, family and staff during this time of uncertainty due to the Coronavirus. With that in mind, we are following guidelines from the CDC and local/federal authorities to diminish the risks of transmission at our offices and in your homes.  We want to do our part to keep our communities safe.  We are working to help our clients in this extended period of time at home with your family.

Though these may change over time, here are the current steps we are taking to reduce the risks associated with this novel coronavirus:

  • Our office is at about half-staff while practicing social distancing
  • We are ready with gloves and masks upon request and are washing hands as much as possible
  • We are wiping down all surfaces possible and have a “no handshake” policy
  • We are using our remote OVRC solutions to repair systems whenever possible
  • We are streaming demos when possible onto your TV and using our own devices
  • We are limiting our presence in your homes and are working around your family for installations and service

There are two solutions that most of us need running at all times, especially right now with our businesses running from home and our children’s online classes.  Your Wi-Fi network and your Security are Sunbelt’s first priorities.  Fortunately, we have implemented the OVRC.Com  platform in just about every installation over the last 2 years.  This allows us to remote into your systems for repair, update firmware and power cycle your equipment remotely.   During this isolated time, we will use these tools whenever possible.  Although this will not fix everything, it will certainly help.  As many of your know, the bulk of our work is in your basement mechanical closet.  We know where it is so don’t feel like you need to give our technicians a guided tour.  We want you to spend time with your family or on your own work.

With our families at home, your protection is extremely important to us.  For most of you, our alarm and surveillance solutions are integrated into your automated solutions.  If you’re experiencing any trouble, please call us at 404-236-0007 or email our This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to create an instant ticket in our database.  We are getting several calls from clients that really don’t use their alarm systems and believe now is a good time to start.  They are correct and we ask you to please remain vigilant and arm your alarms.  Although there are several cities asking for criminal activity to cease during this time, we haven’t seen a reduction in crime or much reasoning with criminals.   If anything, we’ve seen a spike in neighborhood activity as the supply chain dries up in the retail/restaurant parking lots.

We can also use video conferencing solutions anytime necessary for sales, service and demonstrations.   Finally, we are implementing tutorials on our website if you run into issues using your equipment.  We understand this is a moving target and we are all trying to get it under control.  We will continue to follow the news and do what’s best for all of our families.

Thanks for your continued support and please let us know if we can do anything to help you during these times!
